Aix weather, cold, wet, or perfect, can also be “very hot” in July-August and freezing in January-February. The mistral (fabled wind that sweeps off the Alps down the Rhône valley) is a bone-freezer in winter, a fire hazard, too often with human help, and victims, in summer. Traditionally it lasts 3, 6, or 9 days, and clears the skies.
