 Car rental :

Hertz, Avis, Budget, Europcar rentals are available at the airport. In some cases, reservations may be made from the U.S. or U.K. at preferential rates.

Directions from Marseille airport to Aix-en-Provence :
From Marignane to Aix, take the green signed road, D 9 (chemin départemental 9
> shuhmahn dehparhtuhmaahntal nuhf <) in preference to the blue signed highway (autoroute > ohtohrhoot <). In either case, take a fork right as you clear the airport area. After approximately three kilometers, a sign pointing right (blue for autoroute) invites you to Marseille and Aix. Resist it. Stay on the green (D. 9) which veers left, cross country, passing over the Réaltor, (American camp during World War II), the Lac Bleu, passing close to les Milles industrial zone, and take the autoroute Aix-Marseille A 51, direction Aix, one kilometer past the large Carrefour / OBI / Saint Maclou shopping complex on your left. Stay on the autoroute for one kilometer and take “Aix Centre” or the “Jas de Bouffan” exit 11/2 kms beyond it. Follow signs. Note: The A 51 autoroute is often congested with traffic shuttling back and forth between Aix and Marseille. It is one of France’s rare autoroutes not to charge toll. Even so, it is often worth avoiding.
